Lead Game Designer
Tic Toc Games is seeking a Lead Game Designer with outstanding communications skills and a proven track record of shipping high quality video games.
The ideal candidate should be able to cast a clear vision for game features, create thoughtful wireframes & specs, write easy to understand user stories, and drive game design at all stages from conception through live ops.
Responsibilities:
- Own game design and major game features/UX from concept to live.
- Work with the product team to identify features & content to satisfy project goals.
- Collaborate w/ the dev team to ensure designs are accurately represented in game.
- Support design team through concise feedback on specs and wireframes.
- Create clear & concise documentation that can be converted into User Stories.
- Proactively seek feedback and distill it into inflective solutions.
- Present designs and field questions from internal and external stakeholders.
- Deconstruct competitive products and apply learnings to improve our games.
Requirements:
- Knowledgeable and passionate about games.
- 3+ Years of Experience as a Lead Game Designer.
- Shipped multiple high quality products as a Game Designer.
- Outstanding communication and collaboration skills.
- Unrelenting self-motivation and initiative to make your games better.
- Ability to work well within a dynamic, cross-discipline, iterative environment.
Pluses
- Experience working on mobile/touch based games.
- Experience working on live service / live operated games.
- Experience working with free-to-play style games.
- You’ve developed your own games for fun.
- Proficient in multiple design tools (Lucidchart, Balsamiq, Figma, Adobe XD, etc)
- Familiarity with modern coding languages and game engines.
