Lead Game Designer

Tic Toc Games is seeking a Lead Game Designer with outstanding communications skills and a proven track record of shipping high quality video games.

The ideal candidate should be able to cast a clear vision for game features, create thoughtful wireframes & specs, write easy to understand user stories, and drive game design at all stages from conception through live ops.

Responsibilities:

  • Own game design and major game features/UX from concept to live.
  • Work with the product team to identify features & content to satisfy project goals.
  • Collaborate w/ the dev team to ensure designs are accurately represented in game.
  • Support design team through concise feedback on specs and wireframes.
  • Create clear & concise documentation that can be converted into User Stories.
  • Proactively seek feedback and distill it into inflective solutions.
  • Present designs and field questions from internal and external stakeholders.
  • Deconstruct competitive products and apply learnings to improve our games.

Requirements:

  • Knowledgeable and passionate about games.
  • 3+ Years of Experience as a Lead Game Designer.
  • Shipped multiple high quality products as a Game Designer.
  • Outstanding communication and collaboration skills.
  • Unrelenting self-motivation and initiative to make your games better.
  • Ability to work well within a dynamic, cross-discipline, iterative environment.

Pluses

  • Experience working on mobile/touch based games.
  • Experience working on live service / live operated games.
  • Experience working with free-to-play style games.
  • You’ve developed your own games for fun.
  • Proficient in multiple design tools (Lucidchart, Balsamiq, Figma, Adobe XD, etc)
  • Familiarity with modern coding languages and game engines.
