HR Specialist

Tic Toc Studios is looking for a friendly and detail-oriented Human Resources Professional to join our team. You will be responsible for coordinating paperwork to establish new hires within the company. Be prepared to explain and provide information on employee benefits, programs, and education. You will also work closely with our accountant to make sure we are up to date with each state’s taxes. During employee reviews, terminations, or disciplinary meetings, you will need to be present to ensure compliance with the laws.

Responsibilities

  • Enhances the organization’s human resources by planning, implementing, and evaluating employee relations and human resources policies, programs, and practices.
  • Maintains the work structure by helping leads update job requirements and job descriptions for all positions.
  • Supports organization staff by establishing a recruiting, testing, and interviewing program; counseling managers on candidate selection; conducting and analyzing exit interviews; and recommending changes.
  • Aids in orientation and training programs.
  • Manages a pay plan by conducting periodic pay surveys; scheduling and conducting job evaluations; preparing pay budgets; monitoring and scheduling individual pay actions; and recommending, planning, and implementing pay structure revisions.
  • Ensures planning, monitoring, and appraisal of employee work results by training managers to coach and discipline employees; scheduling management conferences with employees; hearing and resolving employee grievances; and counseling employees and supervisors.
  • Implements employee benefits programs and informs employees of benefits by studying and assessing benefit needs and trends; recommending benefit programs to management; directing the processing of benefit claims; obtaining and evaluating benefit contract bids; awarding benefit contracts; and designing and conducting educational programs on benefit programs.
  • Ensures legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource federal and state requirements, conducting investigations, maintaining records, and representing the organization at hearings.
  • Enforces management guidelines by preparing, updating, and recommending human resource policies and procedures.
  • Retains historical human resource records by designing a filing and retrieval system and keeping past and current records.
  • Cultivates professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
  • Diversity, Equity and Inclusion: Promote the companies Diversity, Equity and Inclusion goals through recruitment, training, promotion and pay practices.
  • Completes human resource operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees and following up on work results.
  • Manages human resource staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
  • Advances human resource staff job results by counseling and disciplining employees; and planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Collects invoices and inputs payroll.
  • Works with envoy to help international employees obtain visas.
  • Works with accountant to make sure we are in compliance with all tax laws for out of state employees. 

Requirements

  • HR applicants require a bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, or a related field, or extensive prior experience in human resources.
  • PHR/SPHR certification preferred.
  • At least one year of human resources experience preferred.
  • Possesses superb written and spoken communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal relationship building and employee coaching skills.
  • Excellent computer skills, knowledge of Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS), Microsoft Office and demonstrated skills in database management and record-keeping.
  • Organized and efficient in daily tasks.
  • Specialized training in employment law, compensation, organizational planning, organization development, employee relations, safety, training, and preventive labor relations, preferred.

Office Manager/Assistant

Job description

Tic Toc Games is seeking an Office Manager/Assistant with outstanding organization and communication skills. Because there are frequently simultaneous requests from various departments, the ideal candidate should be able to juggle multiple tasks during the course of a work day. This is a fast moving environment, and one must be able and prepared to change from one task to another at a moment’s notice, while completing work in an organized and timely manner.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule meeting and manage calendars.
  • Post, accept, and organize resumes.
  • Answer phone calls, email, and take messages.
  • Take accurate and comprehensive notes in meetings.
  • Run errands as requested.
  • When needed, help plan travel, including flights, accommodations, and ground transportation.
  • Monitoring Office Supplies and ordering necessary items when required and after they have been approved by CEO.
  • Planning Office Parties with fun activities, ordering food and decorations.
  • Creating and sending out virtual birthday cards for every employee.
  • Filing paperwork.

Product Manager

Job description

As a Product Manager, you will own the business KPIs of the game, leading monetization, analytics, in-game optimization efforts and driving key business metrics and maximizing player LTV. You will drive live operations and be responsible for developing and executing A/B tests, interpreting data, and delivering insights to make actionable recommendations on audience segmentation, limited-time events, strategic advertising, and sales/LTOs in order to maximize monetization. This role will co-own the product development roadmap and process to ensure key milestones and product goals are achieved.

The right candidate:

  • Deep knowledge of engagement and monetization design to drive KPIs in free-to-play games.
  • Able to think strategically, tactically, and creatively.
  • Able to work well in a team environment and communicate effectively with all departments: art, design, programming, and production.
  • Direct experience owning KPIs in a high-performing game that met or exceeded the genre benchmarks for retention and monetization.
  • Able to mine databases and extract key takeaways without the help of an analyst.

Responsibilities

  • Own the daily and weekly KPIs that drive revenue and LTV.
  • Analyze live-operations performance to develop and refine event, sales, and content strategies.
  • Develop and deliver reports to leads and publisher executives with clear recommendations on improvements supported by data.
  • Identify areas of opportunity for improving KPIs and help prioritize features to reach the product’s goals.
  • Tear down and analyze features in successful competitive titles.
  • Collaborate with the team leads to set experimentation plan(s) using hypothesis-driven approach.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3+ years Product Manager experience on F2P games, MBA a plus.

Lead Game Engineer

Job description

As Lead Game Engineer at Tic Toc Games, we are looking for you to help drive and lead your projects and help advance technology in the studio. You will be working closely with our Production and Design teams to bring exciting gameplay features to life! You will not be limited to coding, but deeply involved in the design and the direction of our games. Every one of our employees loves playing games and creating games.

The right candidate:

  • Loves games! Dedicates themselves to creating magical experiences.

  • Communicates well, has a positive attitude, manages uncertainties, and can adjust to tackle challenges as needed.

  • Has experience taking a game from concept to release.

  • Has worked on console games, or a LiveOps game with a million players.

  • Practices Data Oriented Design and Data Driven Programming. Eg: Considers data structures and keeps model data separated from views.

Responsibilities

  • Break down large gameplay features into smaller components and communicate the level of effort required to producers.
  • Help determine the scope of a project and estimate the level of effort for new features.
  • Work with production staff to identify technical risks and breakdown gameplay into user stories and scenarios.
  • Encourage fellow engineers to keep code quality high.
  • Prioritize tasks required for a game to launch while meeting our quality standards.
  • Provide mentorship to less experienced programmers.
    Helps keep team morale high when searching for solutions to difficult problems.
  • Program gameplay and application features in Unity for mobile, online, and console games.
  • Collaborate closely with art and design team members to deliver polished, visually impressive, and optimized games.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in game development.

  • Either experience on a LiveOps title or console experience.

  • Strong debugging skills with ability to work in large existing codebase, learn new systems/concepts and implement them quickly and efficiently.

  • Comfortable moving objects in a 3D space.

  • Able to collaborate with other engineers and designers.

  • Ability to work well in a fluid, changing environment as creative challenges evolve over the course of a project.

  • AWS or Azure experience is a plus.

  • Mastery in several domains, such as 3D, Math, Shaders, Animation, AI, and Networking.
