Data Analyst

As a Data Analyst, you will be supporting the Product and Design team to make data-driven decisions about features, events, tuning and strategy of a F2P mobile title. You will help drive live operations, perform A/B tests, and deliver reports and insights to key stakeholders across both the development and publishing teams. You will also present these findings on a routine basis to leadership, both to examine past performance and determine future development on the title. This role reports to the Product Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Report the daily and weekly KPIs that drive revenue and LTV
  • Analyze live-operations performance to aid the Product Manager in developing and refining event, sales, and content strategies
  • Develop and deliver reports to leads and publisher executives with clear recommendations on improvements supported by data
  • Collaborate with the team leads to set experimentation plan(s) using hypothesis-driven approach
  • Execute variant testing and present test results/strategies to executives and partners
  • Construct, test, refine, and implement predictive models
  • Create dashboards that clearly communicate product insights

Requirements:

What You Bring:

  • Able to mine databases and extract key takeaways from raw data
  • Can visualize those takeaways in a way that all stakeholders understand.
  • Has a demonstrated interest in gaming, particularly in the mobile space
  • Direct experience analyzing product performance
  • Fluent in both descriptive and predictive analytics

Skills/Qualifications:

  • 2+ years Data Analyst experience on F2P games (or comparable experience), Masters degree a plus
  • Experience with data analysis, including but not limited to descriptive statistics, predictive modeling, machine learning algorithms
  • Experience with A/B testing concepts, terminology and hands-on execution
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills (the team values this as much as analytical skills)
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of SQL
  • Intermediate to Advanced knowledge of data analysis programming languages (Python/R preferred)
  • Intermediate to Advanced knowledge of Excel
  • Intermediate to Advanced knowledge of Tableau or other data visualization tools

Nice to have, but not necessary:

  • Strong passion for gaming
  • Love of brainteasers
  • Quantitative background (Math, Economics, Computer Science, etc.)
